Town of Holly Springs - Telecommunicator

The Town of Holly Springs in Wake County is seeking applicants for a Telecommunicator position in the Police Department. Position will be responsible for receiving and dispatching incoming public safety calls, maintain records of all communications, track officer calls and stops, provide data and research for emergency and law enforcement personnel, refer or resolve citizen inquiries, and answer non-emergency lines. Position involves frequent public contact requiring firmness and decisiveness in obtaining information, strong communication skills, ability to perform data entry with speed and accuracy, and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Position requires a high school diploma and three years of directly related experience. Prefer DCI Certification and previous experience working in dispatch or telecommunications. Hiring range $35,682 - 38,000 depending on relevant experience.
